What is the driving force for the Diversity and Inclusion Committee?
Vision:
To work collaboratively to advocate and support diversity education, encourage and provide opportunities for students, faculty, staff and families to grow in their understanding of diversity, and promote and celebrate diversity and inclusivity within our school community through various initiatives.
Mission Statement:
To advance and facilitate a safe, nurturing, and respectful school environment that cultivates openness and inclusion, and embraces the diversity of our school community. We are committed to developing greater understanding of diversity through education and learning opportunities. We seek to provide an atmosphere that encourages open and meaningful dialogues to ensure that all members of the school community recognize that they are valued, appreciated, and supported. We support the educational and personal development of our students as they prepare for an increasingly diverse society. As the world and community change over time, we will continually evaluate and reflect upon the needs of our school community in order to maintain our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
