Here's a way you can help the environment from home:
Recycle your denim at MOM's!
MOM's Organic Market in Bowie is sponsoring a Denim Drive that begins Friday and runs through May 14th.
• All types of denim will be accepted (jeans, jackets, shirts, skirts, colored, embellished and printed);
• All denim will be recycled by Blue Jeans Go Green™ into UltraTouch™ insulation for use by charitable organizations in building efforts across the country;
• Recycling your denim will help keep textile waste out of landfills (1,600 pairs of jeans diverts one ton of waste from landfills); and
• Repurposing denim will help decrease greenhouse gases (GHG), volatile organic compounds (VOC), and chemicals used when manufacturing new textiles.
