Homework Assignments

Reading
Autobiography/Biography book selection for approval is due on or before Thursday, 9/9

Summer Reading Assignment - Due on Tuesday, 9/7.  Students do not have to bring the book Rules to school.

Please cover all books.
Hardback English text and Reading text - Paper or book sock.  The book sock must cover the spine of the book.  The book sock should also not be too big.

Softcover Vocabulary Workshop book and English workbook must be covered with clear contact paper. 

Parents you will notice that I am helping the sixth graders by labeling the spine of their books with an orange dot for morning books and a green dot for afternoon books.  The goal is to help them sort their books in their locker and to be prepared for class by packing the correct books. All books should be covered by next Wednesday so that we can finish up with the marking of the books.   Next year they can label the books themselves.

Reading
1) All sixth grade students were given their first quarter book report assignment today. 
They will select an autobiography/biography to read.  Book approval is by Thursday September 9th.  The book may be selected from our school library, the county library, or a book you may have at home.  Book Report Due date is Wednesday, October 6th.  Please have your child show you the project sheet handed out today. 

2) All summer reading book reports are due on Tuesday, September 7th

Your child needs three composition books for Mrs. Kalkbrenner\'s classes:  Reading copybook, English copybook, and Writing Journal Copybook. 

Please return the  policy sheet and any other paperwork by tomorrow.
